About Me
- Name: Elenya
Elenya is a Saltram/Saga 40 yacht designed by Alan Pape and built in 1984. We bought her in 2002 and have spent many enjoyable weeks sailing in the Hauraki Gulf from our base in Auckland. In 2008/9 we cruised Fiordland, Stewart Island and the NZ Subantartic Islands. After a short stop in Auckland to work we are now on our way again. The plan is to sail to the Pacific Northwest via Vanuatu, Solomons, Micronesia then across to Aleutians and Alaska. Wintering in British Columbia befor another trip north. After this a trip south to Chile via Galapagos and some of the Pacific Islands. To round off we would like to go to South Georgia via the Antarctic Peninsular or thats the plan Mk.I.
